About the Author
Michelle Alexander is a legal scholar, civil rights advocate, and author of the New York Times bestseller The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness. She is a professor of law at Ohio State University and the founder and director of the Michelle Alexander Institute for Civil Rights. Alexander has written extensively about race, justice, and mass incarceration. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic.
